Anderson Talisca Leaves Fenerbahce for Al-Jazira

Anderson Talisca’s time at Fenerbahce is over almost as quickly as it began.

The Turkish giants confirmed that they have parted company with the Brazilian forward, announcing on X that his contract — signed only in the mid-season window of the 2024-2025 campaign — has been terminated by mutual agreement.

“Anderson Talisca joined our team's ranks during the mid-season period of 2024-2025, and his contract has been terminated by mutual agreement between the two parties,” the club stated, before adding a customary farewell line: “We wish Talisca all the best and success in the next stage of his footballing career.”

That next stage is already mapped out.

According to Transfermarkt, citing respected journalist Resat Can Ozbudak, Talisca has agreed a move to UAE side Al-Jazira. The switch will reunite him with another Brazilian export, Malcom, the former Al-Hilal forward, in what shapes up as one of the standout attacking partnerships in the Gulf.

Ozbudak reports that Al-Jazira have tied Talisca down on a two-year deal, with an option for a third season. The numbers underline how highly they rate him: the 30-year-old is set to earn a total annual salary of slightly more than 10 million euros.

For Fenerbahce, it draws a sharp line under a short, stop-start spell. For Talisca, it is another lucrative chapter in a career that has already taken him from Europe to the Middle East and back again.
