Bradley Barcola Joins Liverpool with Premier League Ambitions

Bradley Barcola has walked into Liverpool with a Champions League pedigree, a Premier League dream and a contract built for the long haul.

The French forward completed his move at the AXA Training Centre after passing his medical and signing what the club describe as a long-term deal. He will wear the No.29 shirt, stepping into a forward line already stacked with talent but clearly convinced he belongs at the heart of it.

"It's a great pride to be able to play for Liverpool. I'm very happy," Barcola told Liverpoolfc.com after the deal was sealed. The move has been in the works for some time, and he did not hide his relief. "It took a long time but I'm really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play."

The ambition is blunt, not dressed up. "I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League – it's one of my biggest dreams in my life," he said. "It is to do that and to stay in this team in the long term – that's why I signed a long contract – and I hope I can do it."

Liverpool are not signing a project without proof. They are bringing in a forward who has already lived in the rarefied air of Europe’s elite. Barcola arrives from PSG, where across three seasons he made 152 appearances, scored 39 goals and supplied 35 assists, operating anywhere across the front line. Those numbers sit alongside serious silverware: back-to-back Champions League titles and three consecutive Ligue 1 crowns at Parc des Princes.

His rise did not begin under the Paris lights. It started at Olympique Lyonnais, where he made his senior debut in November 2021. Lyon gave him his first platform and he responded with seven goals and 11 assists in 47 outings, enough to convince PSG to move for him in August 2023. From there, his trajectory accelerated.

The international stage followed quickly. Barcola debuted for France in June 2024 and has already collected 28 caps, scoring six times. Three of those goals came at this summer's World Cup, where he played every game in a campaign that ended with France finishing fourth. He did not just travel; he carried responsibility in a squad loaded with attacking options.
