Edvin Austbø Signs Four-Year Deal with West Ham United

Edvin Austbø has walked into the London Stadium with a long-term bet placed firmly on his shoulders and his future. The Norwegian forward has signed a four-year deal with West Ham United, with the option of a further year, and will wear the No35 shirt as the club chases a return to the Premier League.

The conversations that convinced him were decisive. “The talks I had with Nuno and Nils Koppen were amazing and I just felt from the start that this was a good match and that I really wanted to come here.”

For a 21-year-old from Norway, West Ham is no anonymous badge on a contract. The club’s name had already been part of his football upbringing.

“I watched English football on TV when I was a little kid. Everyone in Norway knows West Ham. It's such a big club and a club that belongs on the highest level in England.”
