Brickfield Belle heads a competitive field and the market has taken no chances. Installed as the clear favourite, she brings something crucial to this line-up: proven ability in two codes and the promise of more to come.

She has already shown she can travel, jump and quicken, whether over hurdles or in a bumper, and that versatility makes her stand out. The six-month break is the only question mark, but her previous form suggests she has the class to overcome it. Connections clearly expect a bold return, and on known evidence she sets the standard.

Challengers

Behind her, the picture is more open. Discussion and Melody D'Arc sit closest in the betting, but it’s Streamhill who offers the most reliable bumper profile among the dangers. Consistent and honest, Streamhill knows the demands of this discipline and looks well equipped to chase the favourite home again. A place on the podium is well within reach.

Lake Pippaway lurks as the improver. The bare result on debut doesn’t tell the full story; she shaped better than the finishing position implies and left the impression there was plenty under the bonnet. With that experience banked, she can step forward and trouble those with loftier reputations.

Around them, Baymount and An Lachin Beag add depth at single-figure and mid-range prices, while the likes of Maxdale Prinxess and George's Order will need to find something extra to get seriously involved. The remainder, from Elusive Moon through to longshots such as Mozart's Song, look up against it on what they’ve shown so far.

All roads, though, lead back to Brickfield Belle. If she returns anywhere near her best, the rest may be playing for places, with Streamhill and the progressive Lake Pippaway primed to pick up the pieces should the favourite falter.
