Bundesliga's New Friday Night Challenge on BBC Sport
Friday night football in Germany now comes with a twist on the BBC Sport platforms – and it’s not just about watching Bayern Munich.
To mark the Bundesliga’s new Friday night slot on the BBC Sport website, app and BBC iPlayer, a special Bundesliga edition of the popular Who am I? game is being rolled out each week.
This Friday, the spotlight falls on champions Bayern Munich, who host Union Berlin at 19:30 BST – a game you can stream live on BBC iPlayer or follow via the BBC Sport website and app. But before kick-off, there’s a different kind of challenge waiting.
A guessing game for Bundesliga diehards
The concept is stripped-back and ruthless. One mystery Bundesliga footballer. Multiple clues. Limited guesses.
You type in a name. Get it wrong, and another clue appears. Miss again, and another hint drops. With every failed attempt, the picture sharpens, but your potential score slips away.
Crack it in three clues and you’ve done well. Need only four or five? That’s elite territory.
Today’s mystery player and clues have been set by BBC Sport’s Adam Ellis, who has made a habit of catching out even the most confident armchair experts.
So you can settle in for Bayern v Union, line-ups on your screen and live pictures from Munich. But before the first whistle, there’s one question to answer:
How many clues will you need?
