Leny Yoro Opens Up on Manchester United's Challenges and Prepares for Atletico Madrid Clash

Leny Yoro Talks Manchester United's Internal Discussions Amid Tough Start

Leny Yoro, the young defender at Manchester United, has expressed confidence in his team's ability to bounce back despite a rough beginning to their season. He shared insights into the squad’s private talks aimed at tackling recent poor form.

Team Unity Amid Pressure

The mood at Old Trafford is tense as Man Utd get ready for a key Champions League match in Spain. After drawing late against a 10-man Tottenham Hotspur, the club is enduring its worst start since 1986. Yoro, however, dismissed worries about the shaky start, emphasizing the squad’s mental toughness.

"I have faith in the team and in us. I'm confident that in the upcoming matches we will improve and continue to move forward. I'm not particularly worried about this situation. All teams can go through difficulties at the start of a season. We are prepared to face them and keep working," said Yoro, as quoted by Marca.

He also mentioned the squad's commitment to facing their problems head-on through honest conversations behind closed doors.

"I think it's really important for a team. Sometimes you have to tell it like it is. And we have. We will continue to do so. We have to face reality and improve," Yoro added.

Adjusting to a New Defensive Role

Recently, Yoro has been playing as a right-back instead of his usual central defensive role. Despite the pressure that comes with such a change, especially for a young player, he has embraced it and shown maturity that has impressed the coaching staff.

"It's a position I can play. If I have to play there, I'm ready. I also like playing there. Of course, it has different aspects, but you have to adapt. I think you always have to be prepared. Whatever position on the field, I'm ready to play," Yoro stated.

Support from Experienced Teammates

Yoro praised senior defenders Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez for helping him settle into the demands of playing for such a big club. Their mentorship has been key to his quick adaptation to the Manchester United environment.

"They help me improve a lot every day, especially in training. I talk to them a lot and they help me grow. This is my third season here and I felt like a Manchester United player from day one. I'm very happy with how this season has started, but I know I can still improve. They also help me a lot in this process," Yoro explained.

Facing Atletico Madrid

Looking ahead to the challenging fixture against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, Yoro remains calm despite the hostile environment awaiting them in Spain. The Spanish club is known for their aggressive play and fervent home crowd, but Yoro plans to prepare for the game just like any other.

"Of course there's pressure, but it's not something that particularly affects me. I'm going to prepare for it exactly the same as any other match," Yoro concluded.
