Manchester United are set to add serious pace and power to their attack after agreeing terms to sign Sweden winger Monica Jusu Bah from BK Häcken.

The 23-year-old is expected to complete the move before the Women’s Super League transfer window shuts next Thursday, with only the final details left to be tied up. United will pay a fee to Häcken, though the figure remains undisclosed.

This is not a bargain find at the end of a contract. Far from it. Jusu Bah signed an extension with the Swedish club in September 2025 and is tied to Häcken until 2028, a deal that underlined how central she had become to their plans. United have had to go in with intent to prise her away.

She has spent her entire career in Sweden, breaking through at Umeå before earning her move to Häcken in 2023. Her rise has been sharp. In May, she helped Häcken lift the inaugural Women’s Europa Cup, a statement trophy for both player and club on the continental stage.

On the international front, Jusu Bah has already forced her way into a competitive Sweden setup. She has 11 caps and has featured in all six of their Women’s World Cup qualifying matches this year, a sign of the trust placed in her at the highest level.
