Marcus Rashford's New Tattoos: Numbers 14 and 9

Marcus Rashford has found room for two more numbers on a body already mapped out in ink and milestones. The Manchester United forward has added 14 and 9 to his growing gallery of shirt numbers, according to Manchester-based tattoo artist Dale McGovern, sitting alongside the familiar 39, 19 and 10 already etched into his skin.

Each number marks a chapter. No. 14 takes him back to Barcelona, his first move abroad, where he wore the shirt while helping the Catalan club to a La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup. That stint, brief but decorated, now lives permanently on his body.

No. 9 tells a different story. Rashford used it at Aston Villa before returning to Old Trafford with the same number on his back, the fourth shirt he has worn for United. It is a centre-forward’s number, a statement as much as a statistic. Now it sits in ink, another marker in a career still being written.

The visuals, provided by Jersey Story, underline the theme: a player turning his own journey into a timeline of numbers, each one a reminder of where he has been – and what he has won.
