Alexander Zverev Clinches Laver Cup for Team Europe
On the final day of the 2026 Laver Cup, Team Europe sealed their victory in dramatic fashion. Holding a 7-5 lead, the team needed two wins from four matches to secure the title. After Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik took the doubles opener against Alex de Minaur and Taylor Fritz, all eyes turned to Alexander Zverev.
Zverev had the chance to clinch the championship by overcoming Learner Tien before teammates Carlos Alcaraz or Rafael Jodar stepped onto the court for the evening session in London.

Learner Tien showed his toughness early in the tournament with a win over Flavio Cobolli. Against Zverev, he pushed long rallies and showcased precise shot-making that challenged the European star.
The first set was tight, with Zverev edging it 7-6. In the second set, he earned the only service break and held on to take it 6-3, clinching the Laver Cup for Team Europe.
