Brad Young's Hat-Trick Leads TNS to Victory over Ammanford

Brad Young hit a ruthless hat-trick as The New Saints dismantled struggling Ammanford to tighten their grip on top spot in the Cymru Premier.

The league leaders were merciless. Young’s treble set the tone for a one-sided night, with Rhys Hughes helping himself to a brace. Dynel Simeu, Isaac Jeffries, Jack Bodenham and Jordan Williams all joined the scoring parade as TNS ran riot and underlined the gulf between the sides.

Unbeaten and unrelenting, TNS now sit nine points clear at the summit. Ammanford, on the other hand, sank to 14th, their goal difference bruised and their confidence surely shaken after a chastening evening against the champions-elect.

Bradley sparks Caernarfon as Briton Ferry beaten

In north Wales, Caernarfon did their part to keep pace in the chasing pack.

Sion Bradley struck first to tilt the contest in the hosts’ favour, and when Harry Charsley doubled the advantage before the interval, Briton Ferry were already clinging on. The visitors improved after the break but never truly recovered.

Charsley added his second to kill off any faint hopes of a comeback, though Luke Bowen grabbed a late consolation to ensure Briton Ferry at least left with something on the scoresheet. The result left the table unchanged: Caernarfon remain fourth, Briton Ferry stay 11th, but the direction of travel feels very different for the two clubs.

Pears inspires Airbus fightback in south Wales

Airbus climbed above Cardiff Met into seventh with a gritty comeback win in south Wales, a match that swung wildly before settling in their favour.

Cambrian came out flying. Goals from Jarrad Wright and Joshua Beecher had them 2-0 up and cruising as half-time approached, Airbus struggling to live with the tempo.

Then the game turned.

George Peers pulled one back just before the break, a lifeline that changed the mood and the momentum. Moments after the restart, Kaiden Cooke levelled, and suddenly Cambrian were the side under pressure.

The decisive blow came from Peers again, his second of the night completing the turnaround and sealing a statement victory. Cambrian, who had looked so comfortable at 2-0, were left stuck in ninth and wondering how it slipped away.

Snaith’s mixed night as Colwyn Bay’s perfect home run ends

At Colwyn Bay, Cardiff Met’s Sam Snaith experienced the full emotional spectrum in a single game as the home side’s 100% record on their own patch finally cracked.

Snaith struck first, giving the Students the lead before the break and silencing the home crowd. After the interval, he undid his own work, diverting the ball into his own net to bring Colwyn Bay level and reignite the stadium.

The hosts then surged ahead for the first time when Sam Hart scored directly from a corner, a wicked delivery that flew all the way in and looked set to preserve that flawless home record.

Cardiff Met refused to fold. With 17 minutes left, Jasper Payne found the equaliser, dragging his side back into the contest and leaving Colwyn Bay to settle for a point on a ground that had previously been a fortress.

The draw nudged Cardiff Met down to eighth, while Colwyn Bay held on to fifth. The perfect home record has gone, but the battle for those European-chasing positions is only just starting to heat up.
