Cristiano Ronaldo Ready for Action as Al-Nassr Coach Ange Postecoglou Avoids Portugal Squad Drama
Ronaldo Fit and Focused for Al-Nassr
Ange Postecoglou, the head coach of Al-Nassr, has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo is in excellent physical and mental condition, ready to return to action for his club. Despite Ronaldo's early exit from the Portugal national team camp, Postecoglou is focusing entirely on the upcoming Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Diriyah.
Manager Confirms Ronaldo's Fitness
The Australian coach emphasized that the 41-year-old forward has rejoined the squad prepared for the next matchday. Ronaldo is expected to be in contention for a starting role when the Riyadh club hosts Al-Diriyah this Friday. The swirling rumors across Europe about Ronaldo’s international situation have not distracted Postecoglou, who remains dedicated to pushing his team toward the top of the league table.
Postecoglou Sidesteps Portugal Controversy
When asked about the recent tension between Ronaldo and Portugal manager Jorge Jesus, Postecoglou declined to comment. He stated, "Cristiano has returned to the club in good physical and mental shape. That is the most important thing for us." On the reported disagreements with the national team coach, he said, "I don't like club managers commenting on what happens in the national team, so I won’t talk about it."
Team Prepares with Key Players Returning
Aside from the focus on Ronaldo, Al-Nassr received a boost with Joao Felix returning to full training after recovering. The coaching staff now await the arrival of their Saudi internationals, fresh off a 2-0 victory against the United Arab Emirates in the Arabian Gulf Cup final. Reuniting the entire squad will be crucial as the reigning champions face a demanding schedule both domestically and in continental competitions.
Al-Nassr Eyes League Summit
Heading into the match against Al-Diriyah, Al-Nassr sits just two points behind the league leaders, Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad. A victory will keep them within striking distance at the top of the Saudi Pro League. This game marks the beginning of an intense autumn stretch where the team cannot afford any slip-ups before regional tournaments resume. Ronaldo, still chasing his milestone, aims to push his career tally beyond 979 goals.
