Minnesota–St. Thomas Women’s Basketball Match Rescheduled
MINNEAPOLIS – The first in-season showdown between the University of Minnesota and the University of St. Thomas women’s basketball teams has a new date on the calendar.
Originally slated for Dec. 1, the matchup at Williams Arena – “The Barn” – presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota has been moved back one day and will now be played on Dec. 2.
The venue stays the same. The stakes for local bragging rights do too. Only the day changes.
For fans, the countdown to seeing the Gophers at home is already underway. Season tickets, which lock in seats for every home game at The Barn, are on sale now. Those who commit early get the first crack at the best views in the building.
Ticket Access
Single-game access will roll out in stages. Season ticket holders get the first window on Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. CT. Gopher Score members are next in line, with their opportunity opening Sept. 22 at 9 a.m. CT. The wider public can then move in on remaining seats starting Sept. 24 at 9 a.m. CT.
Details around the spectacle itself will come later. Tipoff time is still to be set, as are TV and streaming plans and the full promotional schedule surrounding the game.
For now, the date is clear: Minnesota vs. St. Thomas at The Barn on Dec. 2. The rest of the stage will be built around it.
