North Dakota Hosts First-Ever Match Against Florida Atlantic

North Dakota returns to Bronson Field on Sunday with a point to prove and a new name on the schedule.

After a bruising two-game swing through California that yielded a 0-1-1 record, the Fighting Hawks step back onto home turf for a noon kickoff against Florida Atlantic in what will be the first meeting between the two programs. The series stands at 0-0-0, but that blank slate gives the matchup a certain edge: no history, no baggage, just a fresh test in mid-September.

It’s a one-off week for UND, and that raises the stakes. This is the only game on the calendar, the second-to-last outing of the 2026 non-conference slate, and a chance to reset before the stretch run. No midweek fixture, no quick turnaround. Just 90 minutes that can tilt the mood of the entire camp.
