Top Highest Successful Run Chases in T20I Cricket History

West Indies Set New Benchmark in T20I Run Chases at Ranchi

The West Indies have rewritten the record books with an incredible run chase of 252 for 4 against India at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. They reached this target with nine balls to spare, winning by six wickets and injecting fresh excitement into the ongoing five-match series.

India had posted a daunting total of 249 for 5, their highest against the West Indies in T20 Internationals, powered by Sanju Samson's brisk 82. Many teams might have folded under such pressure, but the West Indies showed resilience.

Captain Shai Hope attacked fearlessly, smashing a century off just 45 deliveries, including nine sixes, finishing on 102. Meanwhile, Sherfane Rutherford contributed an unbeaten 84 from 37 balls, hitting seven fours and seven sixes, keeping the scoreboard ticking relentlessly.

Conditions worked against the Indian bowlers as heavy dew made the ball slippery, causing spinners to lose grip. Axar Patel conceded 63 runs in 3.3 overs without taking a wicket, and Kuldeep Yadav gave away 53 runs in his four overs while claiming one wicket. Both suffered from being targeted over the straight boundaries. Romario Shepherd added a quickfire 34 off 13 balls, sealing the chase before the 19th over.
