Jose Mourinho Rejects AC Milan Loan Bid for Real Madrid's Endrick
Jose Mourinho Blocks AC Milan's Attempt to Loan Endrick
Jose Mourinho has put an end to AC Milan's hopes of bringing in Brazilian forward Endrick on loan this January. Despite limited game time caused by a pre-season injury, the Real Madrid manager insists the young talent remains part of his long-term plans.
Milan Faces Transfer Setback
The Italian club hoped to take advantage of Endrick’s recent lack of minutes by securing a temporary deal during the winter transfer window. They saw the Brazilian as a key addition to strengthen their attack. Yet Mourinho personally intervened to block any move, closing the door on a mid-season switch.
Mourinho Explains Endrick’s Limited Appearances
Endrick's progress was hampered by an injury during pre-season that kept him sidelined for over a month, limiting his chances early in the campaign. Mourinho explained to TNT Sports Brasil the tactical reasons behind Endrick's absence from the pitch.
"It is true that I haven't given him a real chance after his recovery, but against Villarreal he was about to come on. Then we scored a goal, and in numerical inferiority, it is normal that the coach considers other options," Mourinho said.
Mourinho Stands Firm on Keeping Endrick
Though competition for attacking spots is fierce, Mourinho remains confident in Endrick’s quality and potential. He refuses to let the player leave temporarily despite Milan’s interest. The Serie A club had hoped a loan would guarantee the youngster more first-team action, but now they must seek alternative signings.
Looking Ahead for Endrick
Endrick must be patient and continue to fight for his place in the team. Mourinho believes the teenager will get his opportunity to prove himself soon.
"I don't think Endrick needs to go on loan and I believe he can have a lot of success here," Mourinho concluded.
The busy winter schedule should offer more chances for squad rotation and playing time across competitions.
